Families of Freedom Will Provide $10.5 Million to 9/11 Family Members & Relief Workers in 2010-2011
The Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund will be providing $10.5 million in needs-based postsecondary scholarships to 527 eligible members of the 9/11 community for the 2010-2011 academic year. This number includes 173 first-time recipients. As applications continue to be submitted throughout the academic year, these numbers will continue to increase.

As of the end of the 2009-2010 academic year, the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund had distributed more than $49 million to approximately 1,454 individuals.
